Perfect location… Nice, large house, kitchen has every gadget you could ever need, two refrigerators and dishwashers are a dream! Nice pool and hot tub as well as basement game room! Perfect!

Sandy Paws is beautifully decorated, well supplied, and so very comfortable! It is obvious that great thought and care went into designing this vacation residence. It had everything we needed for a great stay.

Sandy Paws….the best we’ve found after 10 years and 8 different houses. The homeowners seem to really care about making the home “perfectly outfitted” for your vacation. Need something? Look around and you’ll find it in the kitchen. Every drawer/cabinet labeled and stocked to meet every, I don’t exaggerate, need. Pool is great and once the heater is replaced will make it perfect for early May use. Hot tub and rest of area around it well maintained. Nice sitting space at top of dune near beach. Beds are firm (not hard) and furniture comfortable. Games, TV/Dish? WiFi/pool table. Perfect found table for 4-person cards/games/puzzles away from the dining table so you don’t have to clean up to eat each night. I really can’t say enough. Just remember to jiggle the inner elevator door to reset the magnet if it stops on you, then it starts right back up! We will be back to the home again and again due to the home and condition and the reasonable (not cheap, not expensive) rental rates. Thanks for 2 wonderful weeks.

The only bad thing about our stay at Sandy Paws was that it was too short! Beautifully decorated, comfortable furniture, great views, well equipped. The elevator was so good for my old knees!

First time vacationing in 4×4 country and first year at “Sandy Paws.” Could tell the owners did some extensive upgrades to the house. Very comfortable and well equipped home for the family. We enjoyed it and reupped for next year.

This lovely house has a great kitchen and every appliance and utensil. The bedrooms were great and the pool was fabulous….The house was great and very HOMEY, there’s nothing the house does not have.

Awesome house. Elevator was a treat. Amenities should be listed. Provided was a slow cooker, Insta pot and rice cooker. Coffee makers require either K cups or cone drip filters. Charcoal grill is the kind you find in public parks. Gas grill is really nice. What a treat. A perfect vacation.

Great home overall! Loved the location, the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The elevator in the home makes loading and unloading so easy. I definitely would recommend this home for your oceanfront vacation.

We had a fabulous vacation!!! This home was well appointed with everything that we needed. Trouble with the pool heater for two days mid week. Otherwise we would love to return next year!! The elevator was wonderful for the older generation in our family!

This was a fantastic home in a wonderful location on the 4×4 beach. Plenty of room and everyone enjoyed the amenities. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and the pool table on the main level entertained for hours. Highly recommend this place!

Amazing, beautiful home with all sorts of touches that make you feel right at home. The kitchen was equipped with everything we could possibly need. The elevator allowed the grandparents to be able to be with the family on all levels easily! The rec room was a wonderful place for everyone to have fun.

Amazing House, Amazing Location

House is beautiful and stocked with everything you need. So close to the beach, and the pool area with hot tub was great.

Highly Recommend Sandy Paws!

Our family (6 adults & 5 children) all highly recommend Sandy Paws! We loved all the space, beachy decor, boardwalk to the beach, wonderful views of the dunes, ocean, sunrises & wild horses! We saw wild horses every day! One wild horse even pooped on the boardwalk that leads to the beach! How’s that for wild horse beach charm?! Funny! The kitchen is perfect for 3 families. It has all the equipment you could want and then some! Three refrigerators, a freezer, 2 dishwashers, 2 stove tops, many quality kitchen appliances, a crab pot, and every imaginable kitchen utensil! Thanks, Sandy Paws owners! The elevator was a life saver in getting all our supplies upstairs. It has safety features which we appreciated since our group included 5 children, ages 5-8. The fenced in pool (we paid the extra to have it heated) was great! The outside pool seating & chairs on all the decks were plentiful & perfect. Laura James, Carova Cottages, answered our many questions promptly. We appreciated her help!

True Getaway

Our vacation to Sandy Paws was simply perfect! The home, location, and amenities created a relaxing getaway from life! This was our first vacation to the Outer Banks, and the 4×4 beach location is going to be hard to top! We were away from crowds, and most days, had the beach to mostly to ourselves! There are so many positives this house has to offer: elevator, huge open upper floor, pool, hot tub, drive your belongings to the beach, beautiful views, and many more. But really, the best part was the daily visits from the many horses that roam freely. Most times, they were between the houses, on the dunes, or in our driveway! This vacation was definitely one of the best!

Most Relaxing Vacation

We have been going to Carova for 15 years. This was our first year at Paws. The first thing we loved was how clean they keep it. It was great to have everything there in the house. We loved the second couch on the middle floor. There was so much space for all of us.

Lovely home!

I’ve stayed in many rentals including in the Outer Banks. Sandy Paws is the best we’ve stayed at – well appointed, clean, and just nice and comfortable all around. Location may be a bit far from Corolla if you like heading into town a lot. But if you want a relaxing time on the beach without a ton of people around, Sandy Paws is a truly lovely place to be. The kitchen is organized and had lots of things most rentals do not. The bedrooms are comfortable. We loved the place. We loved our stay!

Wonderful Stay

We loved Sandy Paws, quick, walk over the dunes to the beach, kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils we needed, and beds were comfortable. We are an older couple and don’t have a lot of streaming apps on our phones, and the owner provided ESPN for us to watch the Little League World Series!! Much appreciated!!

Best Family Vacation Ever!

Sandy Paws is a great property. Kitchen has every single thing you can imagine and settings for 20+ people. My bartender daughter was especially impressed with the completely stocked barware to include all the glassware and gadgets. Elevator was a huge plus for my Mom who had knee surgery in the Spring. Loved having the little table on the same floor as the great room and kitchen for games and puzzles. Even though the tropical storm came to visit, we had plenty to do inside with the game room and tv’s o’plenty. House is staged with beautiful artwork and is very updated and well kept. Pool and hot tub are top notch. My only suggestion would be to include more beach chairs to replace some of the Sandy Paws camping chairs. They are cute with the personalized logo on the back but not practical for our older family members. As usual, Laura is a dream and is available and responsive to answer questions and assist with requests. Best family vacation ever!
